Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Manage daily store operations. The leader and point of contact for all Bakery Clerks, Bakers and Decorators, also the main trainer for Front of House team. A prospective employee should be outgoing, friendly, hard-working, dependable and a team leader.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead team of 10+ individuals
• Lead Bakery Clerks, gather their schedules/availability in preparation for next month, delegate tasks as needed to maintain proper signage, product rotation, and quantity
• Train new FOH team members in accordance with SmallCakes process and procedures
• Bring team concerns to attention of upper management and assist in problem solving/conflict resolution
• Assist with development of processes to improve customer interactions and daily operations
• Assist with marketing by tracking current trends, gathering social media content, responding to messages through current social platforms
• Operate POS system in accordance with SmallCakes procedures.
• Weekly grocery store trips to obtain product needed for orders
• Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display products in accordance with SmallCakes standards, recipes, and policies in compliance with Food Safety Policies and Procedures and Health Department regulations
• Assist on special projects such as periodic inventories, seasonal store resets, remodels, special merchandising promotions, and special events.
• Management of SmallCakes store apron/towel restock process
• Meet with upper management periodically to plan for store improvements, set store goals and event coordination
• Adhere to SmallCakes policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal laws

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ recent years previous experience in management, preferably in food/hospitality industry
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling

· Must be at least 21 years of age or older

· Must be available to work 5 shifts per week, 6+ hours each shift

· Willing and able to work Saturdays and Holidays as needed

· Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, and training materials

• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions

· Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills that engage our customers and associates

· Able to multi-task, set priorities, present information in a professional manner and work with all levels of the organization

· Able to lead a team in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to help all team members

· Possess abilities and skills for effective production, merchandising, and customer services

· Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Proficient with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Bookings

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

· Stand on feet up to 8 hours per day

· Dexterity to twist, squat, bend, push, reach, and pull

· Frequently lift 1-15 pounds

· Occasionally lift 20-50 pounds
