LOCATION : Midland, Texas

CONTEXT: Our client, an integration specialist for Automation and SCADA, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated SCADA Development Manager to lead their development team using the Ignition platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive the success of the SCADA projects. This role will be crucial in guiding the development team, staying abreast of emerging technologies, and shaping the strategic direction of SCADA initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leadership and Management:

• Oversee and manage the SCADA development team, ensuring project timelines and goals are met.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, resolving any technical challenges that arise.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Technical Expertise:

• Serve as the subject matter expert on the Ignition platform, directing the team in best practices and advanced functionalities.
• Stay informed about new technologies, platforms, and trends in SCADA and related fields.
• Ensure the team's knowledge and skills remain current with industry advancements.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

• Develop and implement a strategic plan for SCADA projects, aligning with organizational goals and vision.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within SCADA systems and processes.
• Collaborate with senior management to provide input on the company's overall vision and strategy.

Project Management:

• Manage multiple SCADA projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate SCADA systems with other business operations.
• Prepare and present project updates, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Interface with management to align SCADA development goals with business objectives.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their professional growth and development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SCADA systems development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven experience with the Ignition platform is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, particularly the Ignition platform.
• Proficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to SCADA development.
• Understanding of industrial automation, control systems, and network protocols.

Leadership and Management Skills:

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans.

Communication Skills:

• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work in Midland, Texas.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as needed for project requirements or training.
