Job Description

The HT Group has partnered with an established consulting firm based in the Boston area in the search for a qualified Director of Forensic Accounting with specific experience in the insurance sector. This individual will have experience leading teams and process and will focus in uncovering financial discrepancies, analyzing complex data, and providing litigation support.
This position will be remote but would require residing in the Boston area or Northeast/Mid-Atlantic in the Eastern time zone with limited travel for leadership meetings at their corporate HQ. 


Direct Hire – Base salary up to $200K+ bonus/solid benefits – Remote – Boston, MA HQ

What you will do:

• Conduct detailed financial investigations and forensic analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies, fraud, and misconduct.
• Perform complex calculations and analyses to determine business income loss, evaluate financial impact, and support legal proceedings.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings to stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and legal teams.
• Collaborate with legal experts and participate in depositions, providing expert witness testimony as required.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships within the insurance industry to enhance service delivery and business development.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards.
• Ability to market and grow the forensic accounting division.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related.
• CPA license required.
• Experience in a forensic accounting role within the insurance industry required.
• Minimum of 5+ years experience in forensic accounting or a related field.
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to perform complex business income loss calculations.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
