Job Description

Position Overview:

The Principal Civil Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of heavy civil &  infrastructure projects including bridges, highways, roads, and pavements. They will lead a team of engineers and contractors to ensure successful completion of projects within budget, timeline, and quality standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all phases of civil infrastructure projects, from design to completion
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Assign tasks and manage resources to ensure project milestones are met
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met
  • Perform regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Prepare and present project updates and reports to stakeholders
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the project
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and project team members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 15-20+ years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 10 years in project management
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques
  • Experience managing multiple civil infrastructure projects simultaneously
  • Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at
