The medical equipment delivery driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting medical equipment and supplies to patients, and facilities. They will load and unload equipment onto their vehicle, carefully secure it for transport, and ensure it arrives at its destination in good condition, and instruct the patient on the proper way to use the equipment.
Key responsibilities:
- Safely transport medical equipment and supplies to various medical facilities
- Load and unload equipment onto delivery vehicle
- Ensure all equipment is securely fastened for transport
- Verify delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures
- Communicate with dispatch to coordinate delivery schedules
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe transportation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle
- Assist with delivery and setup of equipment at medical facilities when needed
- Provide exceptional customer service to maintain positive relationships with clients
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience in delivery or transportation preferred
- Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Medical equipment knowledge or experience is a plus
